These homemade honey chicken wings are so easy to make, the entire family will be pleased.
Ingredients:
- 2-1/2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips discarded
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon chicken
seasoning
- 5 tablespoon honey
- 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy
sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 3/4 cup water
- 4 tablespoon vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Season
wings with garlic powder, paprika and chicken seasoning
2. In
a bowl, combine the honey, brown sugar and soy sauce with water
3. Heat
a wok over medium heat and add oil
4. Stir-fry
the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds (taking care not to burn them)
5. Add
the wings and cook until they are to your desired crispness and brown, about 5
minutes on each side. Add a little more oil if necessary
6. Slowly
pour in the soy mixture, and turn down the heat to simmer
7. Cover
and cook 15-20 minutes, or until wings are cooked through. Stir occasionally
8. Remove lid, turn up heat and stir-fry the
wings while the sauce is reduced to a glaze
